“The Land of the Bible”
A Study in Old Testament and New Testament Backgrounds
May 2-16, 2012

Peter and Amelia Wong in association with Emmaus Educational Services and Dr. Wink Thompson invite you to join them on a life-changing study program to the Holy Land. With the land as our classroom, with archaeology, history, geography, language and culture as our resources, we will journey back into the religious, political, cultural and geographical environment of OT kings and prophets, as well as NT desciples and Jesus’ ministry within the biblical landscape of Israel. Our aim is to better understand the influences and the impact these various contexts had upon familiar sayings and spiritual messages found in the Old and New Testaments. We anticipate a rich and rewarding program. Our goal is to search the Scriptures, break bread together and fellowship in travel, that we also might proclaim, “Did not our hearts burn within us as He spoke to us on the way?” (Luke 24:32) In addition to the Israel portion of this trip there is an optional 4-day extension visit to southern Israel and Sinai, Egypt.
