Due to recent Syrian visa laws changing during the course of this program's travel dates, it has become necessary to slightly modify the originally itinerary. If effect, Syria will not allow the group but one entry into Syria, rather than the two entries previously scheduled. The change in vias laws were not announced in advance by the Syrian government so we have found it necessary to adapt to these new visa circumstances.

Please note the following changes to the original Itinerary and Flight schedules.

ITINERARY
June 2 and 3: These nights are now being spent in Damascus (rather than Lebanon as previously scheduled). The hotel in Damascus remains the Hotel Deir Mar Elias. See the Hotels link below for contact information.

June 4 and 5: These nights will be spent in Beirut (rather than Damascus as previously scheduled). The hotel in Beirut is the Plaza Hotel; the phone number from the USA is: 011-961-1-755777. This hotel is not listed on the Hotels link.


FLIGHTS
The change in the itinerary has resulted in a flight change. Please note that the new Egypt Air flight schedule is from Beirut to Cairo (rather than from Damascus to Cairo as previously scheduled).

The return flight from Cairo to JFK remains the same as previously scheduled.
